QA Engineer from Venezuela who joined SSE on May 4th, 2026 making a transition from the renewable energy sector towards pool & thermal systems.
Diego Lopez is a Quality Assurance Engineer who plays a vital role in ensuring precision and compliance across engineering plan sets. Drawing on six years of hands-on experience in the solar industry, he now applies his expertise to reviewing and optimizing designs for swimming pool and solar hot water systems. Diego works closely with the engineering team to maintain high quality standards across every project.
Diego earned his degree in Advanced Manufacturing from Manatee Technical College. He joined SSE on May 4, 2026, eager to transition his deep background in renewable energy toward new engineering challenges in pool and thermal systems.
Originally from Venezuela, Diego built a strong foundation in renewable design prior to joining the firm. He previously served as a Solar Drafter and Project Manager at Greentech Renewables (formerly CED Greentech) and worked as a Project Manager and Solar Specialist at Powur PBC, managing complex system layouts and project workflows.
What drives Diego in his work is the opportunity to refine technical processes and deliver reliable, top-tier engineering solutions for clients. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing soccer, staying active at the gym, and unwinding with video games.
